civilettes

we would be so thrilled to receive one of these civilettes from greer chicago. the idea is to carry them around and give them to a stranger who helps you out, as a way of saying thanks. then, that stranger passes it on to someone else who does a little good. of course, not everyone is a paper-phile like us, but we still think most anyone would find this a charming idea. $6.25 for a package of 10.[via Oh Happy Day]

a little rain must fall

oooh, the crazy graphic goodness of cartolina cards is exactly what we need to cheer us up after a night of possible tornados (in Brooklyn? getouttahere!) and a particularly heinous commute. the collage-y composition of the thank you cards above is especially gloom defying. [via poppytalk]

pretty perfect

many unique, pretty little sentiments, all 6 for $9 from turtle papers. there are quite a few more, but these are our favorites. how often do you see "thanks for hosting cards?" normally, you just have to settle for a regular old "thank you," but we like the specificity of this much better. there's no place like uhaul

this weekend, it'll be my turn to relocate to the new jotter homestead, but just because i'll be tortured both in soul (leaving old apartments is so heartbreaking) and body (oy, my back! who packed this box?), doesn't mean that all of you should suffer. in the meantime, let's all imagine ourselves into the palazzo pitti.

above, 6 for $16 and below $4 each, both from blue ribbon design.

¡muchas gracias!

Because sometimes you just need to say Thank You in Spanish.

or a barrel

we're not even going to bother to pretend that we were clever enough to understand this card immediately. What could saying thanks have to do with buckets? Merci beaucoup, obvs! and whether or not you get it, what's not to like about a bucket? They help you carry stuff, like puppies, or...iced tea. and we could use a bucket of iced tea right about now. $14 for 6 from armatodesign

hold the shower gel

if we received these typewriter thank you cards after having sent someone a gift, the delusions of grandeur would commence immediately. oh no, it wouldn't matter what the gift actually was. even if we had sent the dreaded candle or bath product gift basket, we'd still be patting ourselves on the back. how could we not, when our gift was so dead-on as to receive such awesome thanks? we are obviously masters of the gift-giving universe! 5 for $2.50 from luvmypets

peas and thank you

We're lovin' this new Thank You card ($2.75) Kate Sutton created for Little Otsu. Not only are the peas just so freaking adorable, the card itself is eco-friendly, having been printed on on 100% post-consumer recycled paper with vegetable-based inks. (The envelope is 100% post-consumer recycled paper too!)

a little thank you

Target says these thank you cards (20 cards for $15.99) are for baby gifts, but why waste it on babies? They can't read.
