'shroom you later!

You're getting this nicey nice card because I'm leaving for vacation and I won't be blogging for TWO WEEKS. I wonder if I can make it. (Anyway, if I can't, there are plenty of internet cafes in Asia.)

Don't worry, I'll be taking pictures of everything and scooping up all sorts of fun stationery and handmade goodness to share when I get back. Bye!

cake or cupcake?

How about both? I couldn't decide which print I liked better--so you get both. I love that they're printed on actual cookbook pages. (How meta!) Above, Delicious cake print, $25 from bettyturbo

fooooood!

This week's back in time round up is all about food. Because if a girl couldn't give a shout out to all her favorite food on a Friday afternoon, this would be a sad sad world. So, I like to eat...

  • Chinese Food
  • Ice Cream
  • Apples
  • French Fries

What do you like to eat? (And/or use as stationery, lol.)

    mmm...yarn

We just have to say: Louise from Cake Journal is a genius. Look at this amazing yarn cake. The cake receiver (something I always want to be) owns a yarn shop so what could be more perfect? I think I would want a typewriter cake. Or maybe--pencils or stationery? I don't know, having said that aloud makes me feel kind of geeky.

What kind of cake would you want? Also, seeing this knitting cake made me think about both Ace of Cakes and Martha Stewart's Wii cake.

table and chairs for long upper bodies?

It doesn't matter that if we tried to eat dinner on this dining table, we'd have to stand on the chairs to reach our food. This is a mighty fine eatin' set-up.

[Table and chairs card, $4 for a single or $20 for a set of 6. From paper cloud.]

    white rice not included

i'm having chinese food for lunch, because nothing's better on a hot day than binging on sodium and msg. these chinese food menu cards from greenthumbdesigns might be a healthier choice. Each menu has a white notecard mounted inside to write on, and (we think it's cute that this fact is included) the cards are created in a strictly smoke-free environment. 3 for only $3!

    cup...

CAKES! We're lovin' modern radar's new etsy shop. Well, it's not technically new new. she said she's had it up since December but just started selling stuff in May. As long as she keeps putting up ridiculously adorable cards like this cupcake card ($3.25), we don't care what she does...

    apple note cards

We love how amorphous and lumpy this apple looks. Because hey, sometimes we have amorphous and lumpy days and it's nice to know that someone out there can relate. [Apple Notecards from The Hyper Bunny, $4]

    save the date: this weekend

Two awesome sounding craft fairs happening this weekend. Art Start Craft Bazaar going on in Philly and... Indie Craft Experience in Atlanta. We would love to go to, if we weren't trapped in this lovely city called Brooklyn. If anyone has any pictures/stories to share, let us know! [Via Oh Joy! and Etsy Garden, thanks.]

    national hamburger month!

Did you know it was National Hamburger Month? Because we didn't until Fodor's reminded us... Anyway, to celebrate, here's some burger-licious stationery from the donut lounge ($8 for 12 sheets). And hey, we couldn't leave out the fries too: They're $4 each from uccello curioso.
