so...we only got through page 4 of the 9 pages of goodies at petit pear, and these are all the items we absolutely could not resist posting. it's an explosion of goodness so amazing, so charming, we have to go lie down. it's a mixed bag, but most of them are gift tags and are priced at approx. 8 for $3.50.

Check out modish's gift tag round up. We like these so much, they would be gift enough themselves.

these tags are just too gorgeous...
To give away. In fact, I think maybe I'd take the ties off them and hang 'em on my wall for some quick, affordable art. What do you think?

pumpkin picking
53 days until autumn! that means less than 2 months until some of my favorite things: the brisk weather, the cozy, easy-to-accessorize clothes, pumpkin pie, halloween, and squash soup.
yes, i know it's ridiculously early to begin a countdown, but don't these pretty little gift tags put you in an autumn mood? 4 for $2 from winterberrycottage.

nice balloon
it's a gift tag. it's a card. it's both! plus we love that it says bonjour and features both fleurs de lis (the symbol of florence) and an awesome vintage hot air balloon. all good things smashed together, kind of like any flavor of ben & jerry's ice cream..chaotic but amazing.
ooooh, ice cream
$3.50 each from chouxchoux

hold the shower gel
if we received these typewriter thank you cards after having sent someone a gift, the delusions of grandeur would commence immediately. oh no, it wouldn't matter what the gift actually was. even if we had sent the dreaded candle or bath product gift basket, we'd still be patting ourselves on the back. how could we not, when our gift was so dead-on as to receive such awesome thanks? we are obviously masters of the gift-giving universe! 5 for $2.50 from luvmypets

We were browsing around vendors who sell stuff from our new pals at sweetiepie press when we stumbled upon Shana Logic (formerly Pixelgirl Shop). Look at all the great stuff we found--and most importantly, look at all the chickens! Above, fill in the blank thank you notes, 6 for $7 from sugarlily.
chicken gift tags, 6 for $6 from sugarlily
egg pirate stationery and sticker set: 8 sheets, 4 envelopes and 4 stickers for $8 from sugarlily.

picnics!
Even though it's only Thursday, our mind is already wandering over to the weekend...and Memorial Day! We love being lazy and lying around in the sun (vs. lying around indoors during winter). It's time to have a picnic, right? Picnic manners card from The Beautiful Project, $3.
We just don't want any ants showing up...Ant party from TagYourIt, $2.25
Only sock monkeys...Picnic at the beach from Sock Monkey Cards, $3

model behavior
In honor of ANTM's season finale and Jaslene's victory (though we were rooting for Natasha), here's a round up of fashionista-ish stationery. Because why the hell not... The above, Vintage gift tags from wallflowerqld ($4.50 for a set of 2).
Vintage Barbie (the ultimate fashionista) greeting card from Lula Boutique ($3.50)
Fashionista envelopes (recyled magazines) from Swirly Arts ($3 for a set of 10)
Two fashionable looking ladies from Uneek ($6)

us to a tea
It's a grey, dreary day...a curl up in your jammers, forget about the dirty dishes and have a nice cup of tea day. Even though we can't do just that right now (the day job is a cruel mistress), we can hunt down tea-related stationeries!
There's something about the simple, imperfect lines of this postcard from All This is Mine that makes the day fade into the background (and the need for a nice plate of sugar cookies to suddenly come to mind). $4 each
And then we have these lil' doozies. Are they mini cards? Sure! Gift tags? Why not. They're versatile and they make us wish we knew how to knit a tea cozy: a knock-out combination of sentiments. 5 for $3 at sarahridgley

we're such wanna-be parisians
Check out all these great Frenchy gift tags from blue bird lane. Depending on how "French" you want to pretend to be, you can choose to use the French words tags ($3) to attach to your cadeaux or, if you want to show your Parisian love (though we're not quite sure why anyone would need a gift tag that says "Paris"...), use these pink fu fu tags ($2.50) or these aged looking ones ($4).

french kiss
Mon dieu! We swear, frenchify something and it's 10x more appealing. We're fools for a stand-out gift wrapping job (though not quite to the same extent as we are for what's inside the wrapping), which these tags made from real maps of Paris would be perfect for. Though honestly, if you tied one of these to our credit card bill, we'd be just as thrilled. ($3 for 10 from soluci)

D.I.Y.= Design It Yourself
This past February, we participated in Free People's Valentine's Day gift swap. Our name was drawn by Brandy, who sent us this fantastic set of postcards and gift tags. We were extra impressed by Brandy's craftiness when she told us that she had simply printed her images on card stock...more impressed, even, than we were by the fact that the skull has one, tiny gold tooth. Have you ever designed and printed your own stationery? Send us a peek here.
