we are anxiously waiting for the etsy shop of new press, Yes, to begin stocking some of their wares. The collaboration of genduneditions, boiled art editions, and ohbara, the press puts out one postcard each month. above is the august addition, which is wordy...but good-wordy.

While wandering around Reprodepot looking for some fabric, we discovered they had stationery on the site too. How fabulous!We especially loved these mix and match kits. The above is the Lotta Jansdotter edition ($8.95)

The stuff over at That Sky Blue possesses all the qualities we love best in letterpress: Delicate colors, deep impressions in substantial paper and a sense of humor. Okay, maybe it's not necessarily that they have a sense of humor so much as it is that we can't see those little red mushrooms without chuckling a little bit inside. And also there's the text on the mushroom card: Miss you. See, it's not all in our heads! Those dirty canadians...
Satsuma Press just launched their website. We flipped through and loved how they have a mini-slide show of each individual card (which come as flats or folded, fyi). We tried to grab a photo of our favorite card, under "stationery" card 09, but alas we didn't have the savvy. In general though, the colors are softly vibrant (does that make sense?) and the images are alternately botanical, peaceful and avian. The designs are as peaceful and full-hearted as the About Me section of the website, and we can easily picture the designer sitting in her light-filled studio in Portland, creating these quietly beautiful pieces. In July, 2007 Mirage Paper Co. will launch a new line by Carolyn Gavin called ecojot. Ecojot notebooks are 100% recycled and are made from 100% post-consumer products. They are sweatshop free and are completely biodegradable, right down to the inks and glues they use.
CNN's blog, Young People who Rock, features Joanna Alberti. Joanna is 25 years old and designs her own stationery and clothing line, PhiloSophie. Her phrases, like "Keep your nails painted and your hand raised" seem fine, but how can it possibly compare to all the fine stationery that crosses our desk(top)? We cannotcannot wait to see the debut of the famous oh joy!'s paper and pattern line at the national stationery show next week. We have read her site obsessively since we discovered it and yesterday when we saw the announcement of the launch of her line, nantaka joy, we were so excited our monocles cracked.
There's not a lot of info on the nantaka joy site yet, but we'll be live blogging the show's opening day (Sunday May 20th) so as soon as we know, you'll know.

While searching for something completely unrelated on flickr (really, we swear we do other stuff besides look at stationery) we came across this awesome collection of Asian stationery from beketchai.
