I knew someone who had a birthday coming up. I REALLY want to give this baguette card ($2.20 from rhymes with twee) to someone right now.

itsy bitsy jotter
These little matchbook notepads are great for when you need to jot down some quick thoughts.
Especially for when you're traveling...which is just my way of saying I'm leaving for my much awaited-Southeast Asia trip (meeting my boyfriend!) in 10 days. It's time to get excited about this, right? Above, owl notepad ($6 from Doe)
Bird Notepad ($6 from Doe)
Circles notepad ($6 from Doe)

there's no place like uhaul
this weekend, it'll be my turn to relocate to the new jotter homestead, but just because i'll be tortured both in soul (leaving old apartments is so heartbreaking) and body (oy, my back! who packed this box?), doesn't mean that all of you should suffer. in the meantime, let's all imagine ourselves into the palazzo pitti.
above, 6 for $16 and below $4 each, both from blue ribbon design.

if you absolutely must
these cards are both $3 each and are our favorites from bellabella's ephemera collection. the illustrations are sweet and simple and we like the sassy smarm of the sailor one. and even though only one of us (it ain't me, kids) has a black belt in early 90's love songs, we can both acknowledge that some situations call for a little sentimentality.

orange you glad
the colors on these postcards are almost maddeningly rich. look how deep that blue is! look how saturated the red is! i think i need to go lie down.
$4 each or $10.50 for 3 from estrela

music to our ears
we were hunting around the clementine press site trying to find this song structure card we saw over at poppytalk, but alas, it could not be found. we're not too broken up, though, because look at these great music player cards we found instead. not bad, right? $9 for the set of 3

now we're really gonna spend too much money on this site
While wandering around Reprodepot looking for some fabric, we discovered they had stationery on the site too. How fabulous! We especially loved these mix and match kits. The above is the Lotta Jansdotter edition ($8.95)
And here's one from Angela Adams ($8.95)

a/c, on the other hand...
and in weather like this, that's saying something.
5 for $8 from onegoodbumblebee
white rice not included
i'm having chinese food for lunch, because nothing's better on a hot day than binging on sodium and msg. these chinese food menu cards from greenthumbdesigns might be a healthier choice. Each menu has a white notecard mounted inside to write on, and (we think it's cute that this fact is included) the cards are created in a strictly smoke-free environment. 3 for only $3!

maybe if she grows her bangs out....?
a.k. went glasses shopping this weekend. i told her that the bird was a little over the top, but she just wouldn't listen.
3 for $5 from tinysparrowstudio
or smelly and cozy
these breakfast goodies from peasoup are so pleased with themselves! we're having a hard time picking our favorite (makin' bacon or warm and toasty?). Anyway, there's not much need to choose because they're only $3 each. if i were a happy breakfast card, i'd be moist and cranky.

two on the thighs?
um, just for the record: you can get a gnome in a globe, two penguins in lurve, and a chicken butt for $9. and remember, a chicken butt in hand is worth...oh, who am i kidding.
[youngandwithit]
penguins in a hurricane
my boyfriend is in the far-off land of new orleans testifying at a trial (racketeering. no, i'm just kidding). here's hoping that justice prevails, and that he doesn't drink toooo many hurricanes (although really, who could blame him). In the meantime, I miss the kid.
Oh, he likes penguins. [5 for $10 from megancreates]

it's guacamole time
it's that time again...time to check in on our old friends at la familia green. we feel like we might have posted this brunch card before, so great is our love for brunch. anyway, can you sense a theme here? is it lunch time yet, seriously?

bees a-buzzin'
it's definitely summer now that the official most summertime holiday, the 4th of july, has passed. these summery card sets from A Little Hut put us right in the mood. what? as though there's a wrong season for a cup of tea? do not judge! and we're still going to start riding our bicycles...someday. $18 for a set of 6

though we do love sailors
obviously we're not the sporting, sailing, ralph lauren types, but something about these knot notes from Set warms our bitter, jaded hearts. makes us want to go buy some docksiders. no, just kidding, we'd never do that. 2 of each of the four designs (8 cards) is $16

ella, ella. ay ay...
we really want to get in on the whole bicycle-riding thing- it's eco-friendly and might help burn off some of those cookies we've indulged in, but we're just not particularly athletic. this summer, one of our goals is to ride bikes a little more often, but until that day comes, we'll console ourselves by staring at this neat gocco card from supastarr, rocking back and forth, and humming that damn umbrella song by rihanna.
