A bunch of the exhibitors we met showed us stationery they specially designed for their male audience. So, of course, that brought up a question. What makes for "dude stationery"? Things like no pink, no florals, no sentimentality...? Some things the designers thought would specifically appeal to guys: aliens, robots, humor, naked ladies...(ha ha, just kidding on that one. Or are we?) Well we, as the girliest of girls, like aliens, robots, humor, and the occasional naked lady...so what does that mean? Most would think that good design or a ridiculously good concept would or should transcend gender boundaries, but maybe not? Do you know any XY chromosomed stationery lovers? Maybe you are one yourself? What do you like? [cards from the egg press booth at NSS]
