we don't blog about weddings much here...

Because, well, we're not getting married any time soon, and some of the wedding stationery one finds out there can sometimes feel way too over the top. BUT, we had to share this because it was just such a darn neat idea: a vintage typewriter guestbook.

Instead of making your guests write in a glorified journal in their own handwriting (who can read that, anyway?) you can leave an old typewriter with sheets of paper ready and waiting.

The original idea was from Martha Stewart so all we can say is, "We bow down to you, oh crafty queen of perfect."

Of course, our friends would probably type a bunch of swears and inappropriate jokes, but hey, 'tis life isn't it?

One of my friends saw this at one of her friends weddings, and, while it's a cool idea, some of her younger guests filled it up like an IM conversation, leaving no space for anyone else.
