the papermuse has been busy making these pretty star books. does anyone know if there's an instructable or something on how to make these? we're sure ours would never come out right, but if you've ever made one of these, or any cool books or paper crafts for that matter, send some pictures for us to gaze at longingly.

Hi i'm your new neighbour blogger.
Your works so amazing!!!!
How can you make these complicated things!!!! WOW
You guys are hilarious! Thanks again for posting my projects - I'm truly flattered...
I couldn't find instructions anywhere for the large star book (photos 1, 2 & 4) so I closely studied the few photos I had found online, and after a few trials and errors, I figured it out! If you know coptic binding, this book is actually easier to make than it may seem (hint, hint)...
For the small star book (photo 3), I found the instructions in Cherryl Moote's excellent book, "Books with Girth". Her website also has great photos of other star books she's made: www.mootepoints.com
I'm not ready to reveal all my secrets just yet, but if you're in the Toronto area, I'll be teaching how to make these books at Urban Scrapyard. Details are on my blog.
Yours forever in binding,
Natalie (aka Papermuse)
It's me again - I just remembered, if you're looking for instructions for similar star books, check out www.hgtv.com.
Search for "Three-Layer Star Book". It was on their "Crafters Coast to Coast" program.
I haven't tried these instructions myself so I don't know how easy they are to follow, but it sure makes a pretty book!
Cheers,
Natalie
