my little foray into cambridge, ma yielded some rewarding finds. I stopped by 2 of the 3 bob slate stationery store locations to check out the wares. I was surprised by how few letterpressed options there were there. There were a couple of items worth sharing, though. below is a set of origami to go notecards. I guess the person you write to can reuse the card to make a crane or something (there were instructions on the box, but i forgot to take a photo of them). 16 sheets and 17 cards for $12.I don't know if I can encourage buying traditional florentine paper from crane's, but seeing the familiar pattern in the states did make me fondly remember all the stationery stores and stands I saw in italy, all selling patterns just like this. 30 sheets and 20 envelopes for $24. bob slate photo by yacv_p
